Michigan Irish Music Fest wrap up.

The 2017 Michigan Irish Music Fest is now just fond memories. Thank you band members. You put on a great show!

Thank you to everyone who came out. The band was humbled be able to play for an enthuastic, overflow crowd of music lovers.

The Ardan Irish Dancers did a spectacular job. Thank you ladies for all of your hard work.

Thank you to Alister, our Master of Ceremonies extraordinaire. He was spot on as usual.

Finally a thank you to all the people who support us behind the scenes including friends, significant others, spouses, and volunteers. Without the often quiet achievements and support of these people, the band would not be the same.

We found a diplomat enjoying a pint!

We bumped into a representative of the Kalamazoo Irish Festival enjoying a wee pint on Saturday.

Ms Shannon Kelly was on hand to promote the annual event held in June of each year in Kalamazoo. This was the festival's 17th year.

The fest featured some great entertainment this year.

Opening Day Michigan Irish Music Fest!

Irish Fest is underway!

Saturday the 16th, Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum will escort the Highland Games athletes onto the field and will perform on the Galway Stage at 5:00 PM.

The Big day is almost here!

Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum is getting ready for Michigan Irish Music Fest September 14th-17th.

Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum held it's final rehearsal for the big show on the 16th.

Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum will be playing at the 5:00 PM opening of the gates on Friday the 15th.

Saturday the 16th, Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum will escort the Highland Games athletes onto the field and will perform on the Galway Stage at 5:00 PM.

Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum gearing up for Michigan Irish Music Festival

Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum will be performing in the Sparta Celtic Festival.

Liam Leprechaun sent us this link of Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum members warming up for the 2016 parade.

The Sparta Celtic Festival is a FREE, FAMILY FRIENDLY event focused on the expression of Celtic heritage. Located in Roger’s Park in Sparta Michigan. The festival offers three stages filled with music and dancing, food, merchants with a Celtic focus, Highland Games, historical encampments, Scottish clans and more.

The Sparta Celtic Festival is scheduled for August 11th - 12th and is located in Downtown Sparta Michigan in and around Roger’s Park 72 N. Union, Sparta MI 49345.

Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum is getting ready to perform at the 18th annual Michigan Irish Music Festival September 14th-17th.

The Irish Festival is a four day event celebrating Irish culture with many great musical acts. The Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum is proud to be invited to participate in this annual event held at Heritage Landing in Muskegon, MI.

Congratulations to Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum for receiving the Chapman Award for Best Parade Band again this year.

The Alma Highland Festival is an annual weekend of Highland dancing, bagpipe competitions, athletic events and camaraderie.

Once again congratulations to the Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum for winning the best parade band award two years in a row!

 


Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum headed to Washington DC

Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum has received an invitation to play at the 2017 Police Memorial Week in Washington DC May 12th through the 15th. Muskegon Regional Pipes and Drum is extremely honored to be offered to participate in this event.

In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15 falls, as National Police Week. Established by a joint resolution of Congress in 1962, National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.
