The Muskegon Regional Police Pipes & Drums was formed in 2002 as the Muskegon Police Pipes and Drums. As active and retired officers from other agencies joined the band, the name was changed to reflect the broader membership.

The band performs at Police and Fire department functions across West Michigan. The band also support veterans groups for their ceremonies and activities.

MRPPD is available to perform at festivals, parades and other special events across Michigan. As the band receives no funding from any Police or Fire department, these performances are how the band pays for uniforms, equipment and general operations.

The members of the band represent five law enforcement agencies across Michigan, as well as many community members who support us in our mission of honoring and remembering Law Enforcement members who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
