Membership in the band is open to anyone in the community interested in playing bagpipes or snare, tenor or bass drum. You do not need to be a law enforcement officer or firefighter to be a member.
People with an interest in playing with the band are encouraged to join us at a practice. We welcome all level of players, from beginners to experienced players who wish to improve on their chosen instrument.
Reach out to our Pipe Major, Gerry Dibble, or Drum Major, Pete Walen about checking out a practice or joining us. Either can answer questions about requirements to perform with the band.
We practice twice a week, most weeks of the year. Tuesday night practice is mostly piping lessons and small ensemble work. That is in Muskegon at Saint Gregory’s Episcopal Church, 1200 Seminole Road, Muskegon. Thursday nights and one Saturday a month, the band practices at The Vine Church, 3950 Leonard St NW in Grand Rapids. Contact our Pipe Major, Gerry Dibble, or Drum Major, Pete Walen for location information.
We currently have openings for drummers of any experience level for snare and tenor positions.
